Meet Mark Skipper
Judge Mark Skipper serves on the Orange County Court in the Ninth Judicial Circuit. Judge Skipper is widely recognized for fairness, impartiality, and an unwavering commitment to the rule of law. Known for a calm demeanor and exceptional patience, Judge Skipper fosters an atmosphere of respect and professionalism in the courtroom.
Before joining the bench, Judge Skipper practiced law in the private sector, gaining extensive experience in county civil, family law, probate, and appellate matters. Prior to entering private practice, Judge Skipper served as a Senior Attorney for the Department of Children and Families, where he handled trials and appeals for seven and a half years. Through this broad and diverse background, Judge Skipper earned the respect of numerous attorneys and became well known throughout the legal community for professionalism, diligence, and sound legal judgment. His 25 years of legal experience provide a strong foundation for the practical and balanced approach Judge Skipper brings to judicial service.
Since taking the bench, Judge Skipper has presided over numerous jury trials and evidentiary hearings, demonstrating diligence, sound reasoning, and consistent adherence to legal precedent. His courtroom is marked by fairness, decorum, and a commitment to ensuring that every party is heard and every case is resolved in accordance with the law.
Judge Skipper earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and a Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University College of Law. Actively involved in the community, Judge Skipper is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, a member of First Baptist Orlando, and a proud supporter of Edgewood Children’s Ranch, which provides hope and guidance to at-risk youth. He is married to Becky, and they have a daughter, Megan.
